History of Young's Mountain Music

On a very cold December night about 1992,

Young's Mountain Music originated.

Shirley and Bill Young and Bill's brother Harold opened with only three musicians and no heat.

The musicians were: Lisa Robinson, Terry McKenny and Lambert Allen. They played to an audience of 12 people who braved the cold to come.

Since that cold Decenber night Young's has grown through many additions. Now it has seating for 300 people, with heating and air conditioning.

They feature 8 to 10 bands every Saturday night from 7:00pm to11:00pm.

Pickin room also available.

It is a Non-Alcoholic Family Facility. Smoking is permitted in designated areas.

A snack bar is also available.

Shirley and Bill rely heavely on the support and services of their volunteer group "The New Golden Eagles" to help in any way they are needed.

Every month they have a large cake to celebrate all who have birthdays or anniversaries in that month.

Young's and the Eagles have hosted many benefits for people in the area that are in need. They also provide flowers for the sick and for deaths

in Young's extened family.

During the summer months we bring you some of the "best of the best" Friday night shows anywhere in this area.
